The challenge
Woodling came in burning budget on poorly structured Meta campaigns — weak creative testing, no real CAPI tracking, and an ADV+ shopping campaign that couldn't get out of the learning phase.
The core problem wasn't ad spend. It was that Meta's algorithm had no clean signal to optimise against, so every NOK was being thrown at audiences the system couldn't trust.
The approach
- Rebuilt the account around Advantage+ Shopping with a clean event match quality of 8+ via CAPI.
- Structured a TOF / MOF / BOF funnel — broad prospecting on Advantage+, retargeting on tight 7-day windows.
- Set up a 3-week creative testing system — 4 angles × 3 hooks every Monday, scaled what cleared 1.5x ROAS in 72h.
- Killed 18 underperforming campaigns in week one. Consolidated spend into 3 winners.
- Weekly Loom updates and a single shared Google Sheet — no agency-style monthly slide decks.
The result
Within 60 days, account-wide ROAS climbed from 1.4× to 3.7× while spend tripled. The TOF Sumendit campaign held a 5.98× ROAS over the full life of the campaign — an outlier that funded most of the Q4 push.
Three years in, Woodling is still on retainer. We've taken the same system to two more brands in their portfolio.
